Before any treatment, an appropriate examination is first performed. Orthopedic diagnostics involves anamnesis, physical examination, laboratory tests and image diagnostics.

The anamnesis is the first step towards diagnosis. Here, the history of the disease is recorded, particularly with regard to the type, duration, localization and course of the complaint. Then the region of the body where the respective disease or injury is located is clinically examined, and if necessary the entire musculoskeletal system is examined. During the clinical examination, movement restrictions, muscular dysfunctions and nerve disorders are recorded.

Diagnostic imaging is often required for orthopedic diagnosis. This includes X-rays and ultrasound examinations. We produce X-rays that are immediately available digitally and can be digitally post-processed - thus avoiding repeat exposures. X-ray diagnostics are usually performed in cases of restricted movement of joints, pain of the musculoskeletal system, swellings of unclear origin, accidents and follow-up after operations.

Sonography or ultrasound examination is suitable for the examination of injuries, inflammations and signs of wear and tear. We perform sonographic examinations of soft tissues, knee and shoulder joints. The method is painless and risk-free.

Further apparative examinations (CT/MRT) can be carried out promptly in local cooperations.
